After Earl Beard was made redundant from his job in 1972, his wife Billie Jean took out her retirement and together they founded Earl's Apparel under the principles of hard work and high quality, durable garments. More than 40 years on, the Stan Ray brand - named after Earl's youngest son, Stanley - is still centred out of the family owned and run factory in Crockett, Texas, remaining true to its roots of every day workwear.
