Reflecting on last year's Mingle - In collaboration with Sun Bum the Crystal Cylinder cohort showed up at the Single Fin Mingle 2025. The event was top tier, a cultural melting pot of all things surf, music and mucho good times. ⁠

⁠While on the ground we stayed busy indulging in the scene and providing sun care to all in attendance. The weather turned it on and the stoke was real! We were also lucky enough to have Sun Bum advocates Tom Morrat & Tosh Tudor along for the ride. They did the dance, competing in the event and tapping into the festivities. Post Mingle we found ourselves with a couple of days up our sleeve. The allure of promising conditions in the Southern reaches of NZ was enough motivation to dust off and hit the road.

And so the After-Mingle-Math ensued…

 

 

Thanks to Sun Bum for the support in bringing our posse together, Benny Connolly for playing ring leader. Tom Morrat, Tosh Tudor, Ewelei’ula Wong for always smiling, always paddling out and willingly donning wet wetsuits. Jereme Aubertin for chauffeuring the tour van, maintaining protein levels and shooting all the frames in this zine. Thomas Smith for the supporting short film and collecting all tax receipts, Andy Davis holding down shotgun and nailing all alternative iphone angels. Evan Schell for quietly slotting in and nailing the proxy documentation of the trip. Gareth Hemmings for the creative output and design.
